I have about twenty more years before I can retire. What’s the best strategy to ensure I remain employable for a while? Should I focus on staying an individual contributor, moving into management, or shifting to a more hands-on hard labor? It’s getting alarming.
Hopefully, those job cuts did not happen in their 'security' monitoring/hunting team... because AWS is still hosting toxic scanners/script kiddies (I know since I am self-hosted).

Getting laid off while having a loan? That’s like getting hit from both sides.
